Gadget lovers out there, we introduce a cool item that you can beg Santa to add to your stocking, or hint mom and dad as replacement for your old mobile, or ask your significant other as a feel-good gift. As if the RAZR series from Motorola wasn’t awesome enough, they keep coming up with more ways to impress us. In 2006, the world welcomed the Motorola RAZR V3m, one of the newest mobile phones to add to the undaunted Motorola family.

If your usual mobile phone doubles as a telephone and a PDA, then the V3m is prefect for you. The V3m’s Lithium Ion battery brags of a longer-lasting life than its RAZR siblings. You can take a call for 200 minutes, and you don’t have to worry about plugging in the charger. Furthermore, the V3m can standby for 325 hours or 13.5 days. Now, that is long! Your phonebook can’t get any more organized when you plot them into your V3m. It can store 1,000 entries with up to six phone numbers per entry. You can easily identify your callers using picture ID and ring tone ID. The V3m can even record voice memos and store important dates in its calendar.

If a PDA isn’t enough, the RAZR V3m is an excellent, if not one of the best, multimedia phone. Its 2.2 inch LCD display can carry 65,000 colors, great for watching live TV streams, music videos, TV clips, movie previews, and the latest news. The 1.3 mega pixel digital camera can take stills up to 4x zoom and 15 seconds of video. You can even take photos in night mode, or take pictures that include you, with the self-timer. The V3m can support mp3 and WMA music files, and plays them back with thumbs-up quality. Stereo headsets are included in the package.

Okay, so the V3m is not particularly perfect. Some of the downsides to it, the 30MB internal memory may not be enough for hardcore music downloads. So you need to purchase a 1GB micro-SD card to expand your memory, and you need to take out the battery first before you plug in the card. Also, the camera may be clear, but it doesn’t include a flash. The Bluetooth and USB file-transfer capability of the V3m is limited depending on the service provider. This prevents unlicensed downloading and transferring of music files, games, and applications from user to user.
